Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
